Grinnell Christian Church was established in 1954 when a group came from the Madison Church of Christ in Brooklyn, Iowa, to establish a church in Grinnell. From those humble beginnings, GCC has become a thriving outreach to the Grinnell community.

Besides his “Word Directed” preaching, Craig's gifts and strengths lie in team leadership; as he facilitates the staff, coordinates the elders, and oversees implementation of the vision as set by these leadership teams.
Craig is a graduate of Monmouth College in Monmouth, Illinois and has a Masters of Divinity from Lincoln Christian Seminary in Lincoln. He is currently enrolled as a Doctor of Ministry student at Asbury Theological Seminary with a concentration in the area of Christian Leadership. Craig has served in 4 churches in central Illinois over the past 24 years; and, his passion is developing leaders and helping all members of Christ’s Body, the Church, find fulfillment by discerning their gifts and serving Him with joy and excitement.
Craig and his wife Brenda have been married for 21 years. They have five children: sons,
Tyson (19) and Tanner (17), and 11 year old triplets Josiah, Mikayla and Devin. In his free time, Craig also enjoys golfing, watching and coaching baseball.
John Epperson
ENCORE MINISTER
John has been with us for over 33 years. We are very thankful for John’s long-term commitment to the Grinnell community. He is joined in ministry by his wife, Jan. They have 3 children, Jody, Jason and Janelle; and
6 grandchildren, Sydney, Luke, Lydia, Abe, Bo and Makenna.
John loves walking and if you're up early you might catch him walking the
streets of Grinnell.

Brian Chitwood
YOUTH MINISTER
Brian has been working with our youth for over 20 years. It’s exciting to think about how many young people's lives have been impacted through Brian's ministry. Brian is joined in ministry by his wife Barb and their two sons, Wade and Darrin.
In his spare time Brian loves fishing and woodworking.

Andre Norman
CHILDREN'S MINISTER
Andre joined our team in 2006 after ministering for several years
at a church in Malvern, Ohio. Andre's passion for children is quickly
evident as he works with the kids of GCC and the community. Andre is joined in ministry by his wife Audra and his daughter, Avery
and son, Brooks. In his spare time Andre
loves to play sports of all sorts.
