The Bible tells us to "Go and make disciples of all nations." Matthew 28:19. Here at GCC we believe wholeheartedly in that command set forth in scripture. We support several different missions both in the States and throughout the world.

Around the World

Soonthorn Soonthorntarawong
Soonthorn and his family serve in Thailand. Soonthorn works in the area of prison ministry and has been a part of many, many prisoners coming to the Lord over the years.

Steve & Rhonda Hayward
Steve & Rhonda & their family work in the area of Bible translation for Pioneer Bible Translators. The Haywards have been on the mission field for many years and we appreciate their long term dedication to the Lord in this way.

Ted & Bev Skiles
Ted & Bev serve in Taiwan. They run "The Home of God’s Love," a Christian children’s home. Ted & Bev have been in Taiwan for over 37 years serving the Lord. Many children have had the opportunity to hear about Jesus because of their work and many of these children have been adopted to Christian homes here in the States.

Andy & Julie Pierce, Joshua & Anna
Andy & Julie are serving in the Solomon Islands working through Wycliffe Bible Translators. Andy is a Timothy of GCC and we are excited that he has answered God’s call to serve in full time missions. Julie is translating the New Testament into the Kwaio language.

Daniel & Sarah Zagami & Orion  The Zagamis are serving in Antananarivo, Madagascar with Africa Inland Mission developing church based English programs and educating missionary and national children.

Brad Lang - Brad serves in Uganda with Amazima Ministries, whose goal is to share the love of Christ with the destitute by providing physical, emotional, and spiritual care.  Brad is the project manager for the ministry.

Eddie & Emilie Gonzalez,  Uriah & Zoe

The Gonzalez family is serving in Africa sharing the Good News with everyone they meet.

Owen & Stephanie Fuller                                           Larinda, Gabriella, Macy & Omri

 Fullers are raising support and language learning to serve in the Democratic Republic of Congo.  Owen will be an IT specialist with Mission Aviation Fellowship.

United States

Campus Christian Fellowship
CCF serves the campuses of Iowa State and the University of Iowa. The secular campus can be a dark place in many ways but God's light is shining bright on these campuses.  College is a critical time in a young person's life. CCF seeks to share the love of Christ with students at Iowa and Iowa State.

Nebraska Christian College
and Ozark Christian College
These colleges are doing a great job of giving our young people a solid Biblical education. Whether students go for just a year or two to get a solid Biblical base or they go all the way through in training for a variety of different ministries, these schools are a very effective tool that God is using in big ways.

Christian Evangelistic Mission
This organization plants churches around the state of Iowa.  CEM helps these new churches get established and financially assists their pastors.

Central Iowa Bible Camp
Many of our youth head off to this camp each summer for a time of fun and spiritual growth. We are thankful for the blessing that CIBC has been to our church.

Birthright of Grinnell
Birthright is there to help the mother and the unborn child in a non-threatening way.

Intervarsity GCC supports Jen Weinman who is leading students at Grinnell College into fellowship with Jesus Christ and with each other.
